Reading is one of the hobbies that converts loneliness into a celebration. A person with a book can never be bored. The World Book Fair 2018 is an occasion that celebrates words and thoughts. With hundreds of stalls to wander, thousands of books to choose from and everlasting memories to take home, this National Book Trust India organized event is… just outstanding.

Its seventh day has just ended. Now, just two days remain and thankfully, they, like always, are falling on a weekend. So, everyone who loves reading or, wants to cultivate the hobby of reading now, must visit it now. I remember my first visit to it three years ago, not as a participant but as a reader. I had never seen any book fair of this scale earlier. The moment I was at Pragati Maidan, my mind had gone numb. I was stunned and surprised because I had an opportunity to grab books on almost all subjects I could think of. Thus, I started stall-hopping and buying books of choice.

By the time it was evening, I had not less than 20-25 bags full of books of all sizes. Till then, I had not thought once how would I carry it along all the way to Mumbai. In fact, moving around carrying all those bags in Pragati Maidan had also become impossible. So, the first thing I did was to request a stall holder to let me keep all my bags in his stall. He happily obliged and relieved me of worries. Then, I bought more books. Dozens of books were also distributed free of cost by various stall holders to enthusiasts. I grabbed few of them suited to my taste. After all, which reader would not?

Finally, when I reached my hotel and looked at piles of the books I had acquired, I got worried. It was impossible to carry them all along in flight. I had to discard lots of literature collected while visiting stalls. I also had to give up few books with a heavy heart. And I came back to the Maximum City, with a firm resolution to visit WBF again next year as a participant.

This is Mangrol Multimedia’s second year of participation in this event. We have made numerous contacts here. We have discovered many ideas and ways to present content to readers in a unique way. Though we are not a full-time book publisher, we do publish books for our clients and we create content in large volumes on daily basis. We also intend to publish books, in e-format if not in print, so that we too could contribute to the idea of knowledge sharing.

Today was a great day for us at our stall, though number of visitors was lesser than expected. What matters in the end is quality of visitors and not their quantity. We are sure that we would go log way with some of the people we have met here. As a fast growing multimedia company, with lots of aspirations and projections in planning, we are determined to make the most of WBF 2018.

One last thing. We love meeting writers, translators, interpreters, graphic designers, web solution providers, linguists, journalists, editors and other who are in the field. Please do come to our stall. It would be our pleasure to share a cup of tea with you and discuss everything and anything that could help us grow together.
